My name is Shane Kamen and I am a custom traditional tattoo artist located in Cadillac, Michigan.
As an artist, I have experience working with a variety of mediums and believe one of the most valuable aspects of all art is its ability to add a personal touch to a client's art. This is especially true in the tattoo community. To me, tattoos are the most personal forms of art and expression, which is why I chose to focus my art career on becoming a tattoo artist. I completed my tattoo apprenticeship under Eric Hodges in 2022 and have an unwavering love for traditional style tattoo art. The art form and its history are captivating. Primarily, I consider myself a neo-traditinoal artist and enjoy the challenge of pushing beyond my own creative boundaries.
I believe the personal connection between a tattoo artist and their client is paramount. From my own personal experience of getting tattoos, I learned to place a high value on making sure every tattoo session is approached with the right balance of professionalism, relaxation, and fun. In addition to making sure all my clients have a safe, sterile environment, my goal is to provide you with individualized attention and a comfortable experience.
On a personal note, I am originally from Houghton Lake, Michigan and moved to Cadillac in 2018. In 2021 I met Artist Eric and began learning everything I could from him. In addition to my love for tattoos, when I am not needle deep in work, you will either find me hanging out with my dog, Snick, or enjoying a concert with some of my favorite people.
